Social distancing means stay at least 6 feet away from each other; even with wearing masks. This COVID19 rule is followed more and less rigorously among people. Some think that the rules are a political ploy, some feel that the guidelines impinge on their human rights, some think are not effective in protecting us from the virus. Then, there are people like me who think it is a civic duty to protect others, and a way for me to protect myself and my family by wearing masks and social distancing and hand sanitizing. Even so, it is easy to fall into past habits. Here, I am with my friend and fellow artist, Virginia Shick, visiting an Artnauts installation in Denver, Colorado. We remind each other that we are getting too close together: “Hey! Step Back!”
